It all started with a question: why not?
We're two friends, we started longboarding together, we've lived incredible stories, and at a certain point we fell in love with a foreign truck model that was financially unfeasible for either of us. That's where the question came from: why don't we develop our own truck? That's right… why don't we make our own?
We replicated products we already knew and liked, added quality, considered production feasibility, design, and fair pricing. And that was it! Without dreams there is no life, we transformed that question into a brand, a brand with our signature, as only we could do. If every brand is born from a motivation, certainly ours was to make products with the best quality in the world more accessible to Brazilian skaters.
We want to see athletes having opportunities to evolve, we want to make downhill skateboarding our identity, bringing people together, highlighting camaraderie and fun, valuing the sport and the community as important elements of a unique culture, independent of results and engagement.
The dream became a brand, and it's called FOLC.
FOLC comes from folklore, representing the expressions of our popular culture, our legends, our very particular identity. Our products adopt the names of characters from Brazilian folklore; yes, we want to value everything that is most genuine in us. The trucks are Curupira, the sandpaper Saci, the wheels Boitatá.
That's how FOLC will tell its story and inspire you to always ask yourself: why not?
